Miami’s First Supertall Tower Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences, Breaks Ground

December 28, 2022

Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences, the first supertall tower to come to Miami, has broken ground with its developers commencing the drilling and foundation work for the tallest residential building south of New York City. Located at 300 Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami, the luxury mixed-use tower will rise 100 stories and 1,049 feet above Biscayne Bay, marking the debut of Waldorf Astoria, one of the world’s most iconic hospitality brands, in the Miami and South Florida market. Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences Miami will feature an awe-inspiring design that will distinguish the property’s architecture from all other projects on the East Coast.

The supertall tower featuring nine spiraling, offset glass cubes, evenly stacked and wrapped in a “glass skin”, will offer 360 private residences, as well as 205 guestrooms and suites located in the first three cubes. Hotel guests and residents will enjoy access to the Waldorf Astoria brand’s Peacock Alley; a specialty restaurant; spaces for indoor/outdoor events; pool deck with private cabanas; and a spa & fitness center. The tower’s private residential amenities will include an owners-only lobby and lounge; hospitality suite; billiard room; and elevated pool deck. All residences will come with the most advanced smart-home technology, including custom mobile app access to concierge service through which hotel guests and residents can call for dining reservations, 24/7 room service, spa treatments, car reservations, valet service and package delivery. Waldorf Astoria Residences Miami came to market in the spring of 2021 and has already reached 87% sold. The balance inventory mostly includes the Sky Collection located in the tower’s eighth cube and penthouse residences in the ninth cube.
