The Roger Development Group has officially broken ground on The Avenue Hotel & Residences Coral Gables, a new luxurious mixed-use development located across from the renowned Merrick Park.

Held on November 1st, the groundbreaking ceremony celebrated the start of construction on the eight-story boutique project. In attendance were Oscar Roger Sr. and Oscar Roger Jr. of Roger Development, along with partners Zarko Cukic, Jose Espantoso, and Veronica Rey.

Architect Willy Bermello of Bermello Ajamil & Partners, interior designer Adriana Hoyos, and Alicia Cervera Lamadrid of sales partner Cervera Real Estate also joined in marking the occasion. Thornton, the project's general contractor, was represented as well.

Coral Gables Mayor Vince Lago spoke at the event, which over 75 civic and business leaders from the community attended. Guests enjoyed refreshments and toasted the development team.

When complete in early 2025, The Avenue will provide 48 luxurious condominium residences and hotel accommodations in a Parisian-inspired neoclassical architectural style. Interiors by Hoyos will feature high-end finishes from brands like Miele and Subzero.

Amenities like a ninth floor pool deck and 3,800 square feet of retail are planned. With over 75% of units presold, strong demand is evident for the sophisticated living experience The Avenue will offer in the heart of Coral Gables.

The development team looks forward to delivering this one-of-a-kind project catering to full-time residents and guests alike in the prestigious City Beautiful. Construction is now officially underway on the landmark development.
