Construction Begins on The Residences at 1428 Brickell: A Luxury Tower with Solar Technology

March 11, 2025

Miami-based developer Ytech has officially commenced construction on The Residences at 1428 Brickell, a 70-story luxury condominium tower in Miami's Brickell Financial District. This groundbreaking project is notable for being the world's first high-rise residential building to integrate photovoltaic glazing into its façade, creating a "Solar Backbone" of 500 solar-integrated windows on the west-facing side. This innovative design is expected to generate up to 175,000 kWh of clean energy annually, significantly reducing the building's carbon footprint.

The Residences at 1428 Brickell will feature 195 exclusive units ranging from 1,800 to 4,000 square feet, priced between $3 million and $7 million. The upper floors feature 80,000 square feet of curated spaces, which offer residents access to three pools, a 10,000-square-foot state-of-the-art gym, an art and wine lounge, private dining areas, office suites, and an immersive spa. The building also boasts a Wellness Club with personalized services and an Owner’s Club staffed by an on-site sommelier and event coordinators.

The tower's design includes flow-through floor plans and several two-story residences that evoke the ambiance of a single-family home. The penthouse, priced at $60 million, is the crown jewel of the building. It features 30-foot ceilings, seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and expansive views of Biscayne Bay.

Ytech's CEO, Yamal Yidios, emphasized the company's commitment to excellence in design, quality, and forward-thinking technology, stating that the project brings them closer to realizing a vision of luxury combined with meaningful sustainability.

The Residences at 1428 Brickell is poised to become an iconic feature of Miami's skyline, setting a new standard for sustainable luxury living.
