Continuum Company, owned by Ian Bruce Eichner, has commenced sales of La Baia, Bay Harbor Islands, the first of the two buildings that it is planning in the town. The firm had developed the two-tower Continuum condo complex in South Beach in 2003 and 2008. Continuum bought the Bay Harbor Islands land for $29.5 million from developer Irwin Tauber’s Taubco affiliates, which had previously secured development rights for the property as part of the deal. The land also includes 9461 East Bay Harbor Drive where Continuum will launch a second project.
The eight-story building to be designed by Revuelta Architecture will be constructed on the lot at 9201 East Bay Harbor Drive and will have 68 units ranging from one to four bedrooms, between 1,100 square feet and 2,500 square feet with prices starting at $810,000. Residents will benefit from more than 30,000 square feet of amenities and enjoy access to a marina with 20 boat slips. The units will have a ceiling height of up to 10 feet and large walk-in closets with fixtures and finishes to be handpicked by Durukan Design of New York. The seawall work is scheduled to begin in January and the foundation in April with the building expected to be delivered in November 2023.
Other projects close to the building have witnessed presales growing at a strong pace. For instance, Ambienta Developers has presold at least 75 percent of its 30-unit building that it plans to develop at 9901 West Bay Harbor Drive in March. Similarly, Ugo Colombo and Valerio Morabito has presold about 50 percent of Onda, its planned 41-unit, eight-story building to be developed at 1135 103rd Street in Bay Harbor Islands.
