New Video Highlights Construction Progress at Waldorf Astoria Miami

October 8, 2025

Construction of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences Miami continues to move upward, with a newly released video from developer PMG showcasing the tower’s progress as crews advance into the fourth cube. This critical stage marks the beginning of the first residential levels, planned between the 42nd and 49th floors.

When completed, the Waldorf Astoria will soar 100 stories and 1,049 feet above sea level, officially becoming Miami’s tallest tower and the first true “supertall” skyscraper in the southeastern United States. Designed by Sieger Suarez Architects in collaboration with visionary architect Carlos Ott, the project’s bold design—nine offset glass cubes stacked vertically—will serve as both a feat of engineering and a global architectural landmark.

The lower portion of the tower will be dedicated to the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, offering 205 luxury keys, ballrooms, fine dining, and curated food and beverage outlets that carry the brand’s hallmark of timeless elegance. Rising above, the upper cubes will house around 387 private residences, designed to maximize uninterrupted views of Biscayne Bay, the Atlantic Ocean, and Miami’s growing skyline. Each home will combine cutting-edge interiors with the five-star hospitality services for which Waldorf Astoria is renowned.

Set in the heart of Downtown Miami, the development is surrounded by cultural and entertainment destinations, including the Adrienne Arsht Center, Miami Worldcenter, and the Perez Art Museum, as well as easy connections to Brickell, Wynwood, and Miami Beach. Its location cements the project as both a residential retreat and an urban hub, bridging Miami’s business core with its global lifestyle appeal.

The Waldorf Astoria name carries with it more than 90 years of hospitality legacy, synonymous with prestige, exclusivity, and service. Miami’s iteration will not only extend this heritage but also elevate it, cementing the city’s position among the world’s great luxury capitals. For residents, ownership extends beyond the walls of their residence, unlocking access to a global network of Waldorf Astoria properties and services.

With topping off projected for late 2026 and completion expected in 2028, anticipation around the Waldorf Astoria Miami is growing rapidly. As one of the most ambitious real estate projects ever undertaken in South Florida, it represents not just a building, but a cultural milestone for the city, setting a new global benchmark for design, luxury, and urban living.
