Vertical construction is officially underway at 1350 South Ocean Boulevard, where Related Group, Miami’s preeminent luxury developer, and Merrimac Ventures, led by the Motwani family, are bringing to life the Waldorf Astoria Residences Pompano Beach. The 28-story tower will deliver 92 private residences and a suite of resort-style amenities, redefining luxury living directly on the oceanfront.
The project broke ground in April, and construction momentum has steadily accelerated. Coastal Construction, serving as general contractor, has begun raising the structural frame, with the podium now taking shape. Aerial views reveal crews tying rebar, assembling formwork, and pouring concrete as the superstructure begins its ascent. Two tower cranes and high-capacity pumping systems dominate the site, where formwork and slab placement are advancing on the third floor, while post-tensioning work continues across the second elevated deck.
Designed by Nichols Architects in collaboration with KORA, the tower will rise 308 feet, blending Waldorf Astoria’s timeless tradition of luxury with a contemporary coastal aesthetic. Its glass façade and sculptural curves echo the fluidity of the ocean, while deep terraces extend indoor living outward, framing panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway. Interiors by BAMO reflect a refined yet comfortable elegance, tailored for both seasonal and year-round living.
The development’s amenities promise a world-class experience, including a beachfront pool deck, private spa and wellness center, residents’ lounge, and exclusive dining spaces—all with direct access to the sand. Residents will also enjoy Waldorf Astoria’s signature concierge and hospitality services, expanding the brand’s celebrated residential portfolio in South Florida.
Located in Pompano Beach, a city undergoing a renaissance with billions in investment in infrastructure, dining, and cultural attractions, the project positions itself at the forefront of the area’s transformation into a premier luxury destination. Completion is anticipated in 2027.
